Off street parking, trash collection, and snow plowing are provided. Each apartment has a washer and dryer hook-up. Pets are allowed with some restrictions. All Foothills apartments are non-smoking. Brookside Village![]() Subsidized apartment building for low income individuals 62 years and older, and/or disabled. Built in 2014, the building has 32 one bedroom apartments: fully handicapped, adaptable, and regular. It is located one mile north of downtown Farmington in a beautiful setting with walking trails and fishing pond. The building is unique for Maine having no fossil fuels on-site. The heat and hot water are provided by ground source pumps and solar panels on the roof. It is designed to produce as much energy as it uses. In-floor heating keeps the apartments evenly heated through the cold season. Rent is income based. Maximum income for single occupancy is $23,600 double occupancy income limit is $26,950. Heat, hot water and electric are included in rent. Coin operated laundry on site. This is a non-smoking building.
